The documentary is about an Orthodox Jewish man who attempts to reintegrate in a strict community after becoming involved with criminals and spending time in prison. Students will explore the concept of social justice, its link to human rights and why it’s needed, before examining recent campaigns and the progress being made by the social justice movement. They will also explore objections to what some call ‘social justice warriors’ and whether social justice is backed up by religious ideas, by analysing quotes - the lesson has been created for RE, but would be useful as a Citizenship / interesting Drop Down Day session too.
